RUSHING OFFENSE
LeSean McCoy shook off a near-fatal fumble and had a game-winning, 10-yard touchdown. He had a season-high 99 yards on 20 carries. Grade: B-plus

PASSING OFFENSE
Donovan McNabb threw two TD passes, including a 48-yard bomb to DeSean Jackson. Completed 60-plus percent of his attempts for the third time in the last four games. Grade: B-plus

RUN DEFENSE
Gave up a 72-yard run to Kahlil Bell in the second quarter that set up a Bears field goal, but allowed just 54 yards on the other 19 rushing attempts. Grade: B

PASS DEFENSE
Sean Jones came up with a game-clinching, fourth-quarter interception off a Tracy White deflection. Eagles held Jay Cutler to 3.97 yards per attempt. Grade: B-plus

SPECIAL TEAMS
Eagles’ kickoff-coverage unit struggled to contain Johnny Knox. Punter Sav Rocca had another shank. DeSean Jackson had a 53-yard punt return. Grade: B-minus

OVERALL
The Eagles’ three giveaways might have been fatal against a better offense. They converted two of three red-zone opportunities and three of their last four third-down chances to pull out a fourth-quarter win. Grade: B-plus

Who missed the assignment on the long run? The Bears Rb broke through the line and there were no Eagles in the secondary?

It was a blitz on 2nd and 11. When you sell out like that, there isn't going to be anyone back there and that's what happened. Once the RB cleared the LOS, no one home--they were lucky that at least Sean Jones had enough speed to catch the guy. On the flip side, when McNabb got sacked on a similar play when he went back to pass, he should have audibled to a run--looking at the replay, McCoy would have run a long way.

Alas, these are two mediocre teams at this point. A few better thrown passes by Cutler and the Birds are 5-5. Yeah, it's certainly nice to see the young players contribute, but this team is way too shaky in too many areas to be considered a serious playoff contender. Hope it changes for the better, but count me skeptical ...

The Eagles might squeak into the playoffs, but getting past New Orleans is another story...not to mention that they have no chance against Indy if they do get to the SB. Peyton Manning always eats them alive.

B- is he serious? C- at best. This game should've been a blowout win for the Eagles, instead it turned into a nailbiter. And with the way the AFC is falling apart, Manning should waltz into the Superbowl and away with his 2nd ring. However, if Belichick doesn't make a worse decision than Reid has ever made, the Colts would have one loss.

The NFL is horrible this year. Awful games, bad teams, bad match-ups. Look at the line up on Thanksgiving day. Dude......ZZzzzzzzzz. It's gonna be a long winter for Philly sports.

so if we average out the scores the whole team gets a B? no way a debatable C at best. the bears beat themselves in good old eagles fashion. bad penalties, and a shaky cutler made bears fans wish for grossman. mcnabb was pretty quiet in the 2nd, and 3rd quarter. the eagles D did ok considering everybody is out, but not playoff ok. the offense shoulda been everywhere. except for some scary talented jackson plays, and avant's echo-from-last-week's touchdown. the receivers looked somewhat average, against a stunted bears D. still i have to at least be intrigued that marty designed some actual run plays, and give the offense 1.5 dimensions. this eagles team doesn't have the tools healthy for a playoff run. minny, or nawlins are the top two right now.

It took Les only a few seasons after the switch to figure out that there was no penalty box at the Linc, and that the time really wasn't his, despite what Andy Reid kept saying. Les came to Philadelphia and the Daily News from Charlotte in 1983. In the intervening years, he has pretty much lost track of NASCAR, and his accent. He, his wife Barbara, and their two sons live in Haddon Township, New Jersey.
