One interesting note regarding the schedule from ESPN.com Pat Yasinskas, who covers the NFC South:

When the Eagles came to Atlanta last year, the Falcons were banged up with injuries and Philadelphia made it a point to showcase Michael Vick against his former team. The Atlanta brass was too classy to publicly complain about it. But there were plenty of people within the organization who were furious with Philadelphia coach Andy Reid. They’ll get a chance to pay him back Oct. 17 when they go to Philadelphia.

The Iggles passing on Earl Thomas? Reminds me of when they passed on Warren Sapp for ____________?

Good Job Domo. If I were the birds and Earl Thomas is on the board I would take him, however taking Jackson works as we can get a FS with one of our 2nd rounders.

Pass on Earl Thomas if he slips that far? Don't see it.

You had Earl Thomas dropping that far? He's a top 15 pick and he will never ever ever slip that far and why would the N iners pick Dez Bryant after grabbing Crabtree and trading for Ginn and having big needs in the defensive secondary? Bleh.

I don't see them passign on Earl Thomas. At the same time, I don't see Earl Thomas falling past 20 - if we want him we need to trade up.

Still, if they get a CB with #24 (Kyle Wilson/Kareem Jackson) then grab USF's Nate Allen (FS) with the second round pick, I'd call it a win.

If Iupati is there at 24, it might be hard for Reid to resist. A lot of those top 10 teams have a lot of holes to fill, I think 1 or 2 may trade down in this deep draft. I would. I hope the Eagles package a deal with Asante Samuel. Gotta get rid of this malcontent.

They will trade the pick and acquire a 2nd round pick this year and another next year. Andy is smarter than all of us. The time is yours.

No way Dan Williams gets past 24 either. Iupati is rumored to go to the Raiders. I like to see them get Pouncey but they'll have to get ahead of Pgh. to do that. Dan Williams said he is the best DT in the draft.

Les BowenLes Bowen has covered the Eagles for the Daily News since 2002. Before that, he spent nearly 13 years covering the Flyers. It took Les only a few seasons after the switch to figure out that there was no penalty box at the Linc, and that the time really wasn't his, despite what Andy Reid kept saying. Les came to Philadelphia and the Daily News from Charlotte in 1983. In the intervening years, he has pretty much lost track of NASCAR, and his accent. He, his wife Barbara, and their two sons live in Haddon Township, New Jersey. E-mail Les at bowenl@phillynews.com and follow him on Twitter.

Paul DomowitchPaul Domowitch has been with the Daily News since 1982. He has spent most of his nearly 3 decades with the paper covering the Eagles and pro football. For the last 10 years, he’s been a selector for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. A native of Wilkes-Barre and a graduate of Wilkes University, Domo started his career in Texas, working first for the Midland Reporter-Telegram (1976-78), and then for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, where he covered some god-awful Texas Ranger baseball teams. His first beat at the Daily News actually was boxing, which he covered just long enough to lose 2 sports coats to blood spatter before moving on to football. Domo and his wife Shelley, a University of Oklahoma grad who still hasn’t gotten over that Fiesta Bowl loss to Boise State 5 years ago, have 2 terrific daughters -- Allison, 28, who is an attorney in South Jersey, and Amy, 25, who works in administration for a professional baseball team.
