Dixon, Parker Traveling; No Asante

If Asante Samuel had hoped to get any holiday shopping done along Michigan Avenue's Magnificent Mile today, he'll have to send a teammate with a list. The Eagles announced Samuel is not traveling with the team to Chicago and will not play tomorrow. because of an MCL strain suffered in last week's victory over the Giants.

The news is not unexpected. Joselio Hanson talked to reporters Friday about getting his 16th Eagles start at corner.

Defensive tackle Antonio Dixon (abdominal strain) and defensive end Juqua Parker (hip) are going to Chicago, presumably not just for the deep-dish pizza. Dixon and Parker, like Samuel, were listed as "questionable" on Friday's injury report.

BTW, if you click the link to the Hanson story, the second paragraph got mangled in the editing process. Of course, Hanson was not suspended for the NFC Championship game last season, which the Eagles were not in. He was suspended last season for a drug test administered at the NFC Championship Game the year before, in Arizona.
