Dawkins in Denver
Les Bowen, Daily News Staff Writer
Agent Jim Steiner has confirmed that free safety Brian Dawkins is visiting the Denver Broncos today. Dawkins, 35, is Philadelphia's longest-tenured pro athlete, and had been considered very likely to re-sign with the Eagles before free agency began at 12:01 Friday morning. That still might happen, but for now, Dawk is in Denver. Stay tuned.

- Oh helllllll no
oh please..did the guy even suit up against the Cardnals?? mongoS
If Lurie lets Dawkins leave, I may never forgive him. If you are truly going to be a "gold standard" organization, there are certain players you just have to keep. Dawkins is one of them. Jeff: don't let him go. Vituperator
Yes they can afford to "overpay" for him for one year - they are $48 million under the cap, and there may not even be a cap next year. This is absolutely egregious. There is now way this guy jumped for the money. They had to low ball him, the face of the franchise - and arguably the Philly sports scene - for a decade-plus. The arrogance of this trio - Lurie, Banner and Reid - has grown old, and delusional given the Phils' place as the real "Gold Standard." EaglesWest
Please don't let this happen:(. FO...don't do it bukipapa
ITS TIME FOR ANDY REID, TOM HECKERT AND JOE BANNER TO JOIN THE CIRCUS. THEY ALWAYS SAY WE HAVE ENOUGH THIS AND THAT AND THE SAME OUTCOME EVERY YEAR, THIS IS FRUSTRATING NORTHJERZEEFAN
