DRC: Other Teams Mock Birds' 'Pretty' D

Eagles cornerback Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie said the word around the league on the Birds' defense is “y’all guys are talented, but y’all don’t wanna hit nobody.”
Rodgers-Cromartie says the defense has to go out and show the “want to” to disprove that notion. “Until you fix it, it’s always going to show itself,” he said. “Everybody looks at us as a ‘pretty’ defense that don’t wanna be physical. We gotta go out and make a name for ourselves.”
“We just gotta get that focus in and come together as one,” he said.

Eagles head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder said that after consultation with specialists, right tackle Todd Herremans will not have surgery on his right foot, which suffered a rare and complicated bone dislocation that led to other problems, in Monday's loss at New Orleans. Herremans is expected to fully recocver, but not before next spring.

LeSean McCoy (illness) missed practice again, as did Danny Watkins (foot). RB Chris Polk, who forced a Saints fumble on a kickoff return Monday night, suffered a turf toe injury that has him on crutches and in a boot. Polk will not play this week.
this may be the most depressing yet telling little article yet on the 2010-2012 birds. ALmost as sad as after every playoff loss predictably a few of the opposing players from O and D will say they knew exactly what the eagles were going to do— bhamss12- DRC seems to be one of the guys with heart. How we did not draft a safety instead of Watkins and/or Graham is still killing me. Name one hard hit from a safety in the last four years.— djack10

- Andy Reid makes it a pretty defense by not allowing players to play. He always took stock in specialist instead of 3 down players. Thinking he can outcoach everybody every minute of the game by putting in players in wants instead of allowing players to develop into the kind he needs. If Andy Reid was stripped of GM duties and given a defensive coordinator that didnt listen to him he'd probably have a couple of superbowls.— Zeru

- NEWSFLASH>>>>4/6 of the starting defense was not drafted...They are all FA's, Nnamdi, DRC, Jenkins, Cap, Babin. The defense does have talent, but they are so soft. For me, the D-line has to be the most disappointing part of the defense this year. If the line was getting to the QB, the defense wouldn't be getting gashed like it is.
