Cowboys didn't like DeSean's end zone antics

POSTED: Monday, December 13, 2010, 10:10 AM

Andy Reid wasn't the only one not thrilled with DeSean Jackson's backwards fall into the end zone at the end of his 91-yard touchdown reception.

Some of the Dallas Cowboys weren't particularly fond of it, either.

``It was disrespectful," cornerback Mike Jenkins said. He knew he was going to score. That's him. We beat him three times in a row last year, so he was going to come back and try to everything he could."

Linebacker Keith Brooking: ``He's a great player. Obviously when you make a play like that, you're going to get excited. I don't think that's the best part of football, but I guess he did.''

Defensive back Orlando Scandrick: “We’re good friends and hang out in the offseason. He’s just being himself. Some people might say a showboat. But we all play this game. It’s fun, and what goes on between those lines gets left out there. Is it disrespectful? Possibly.”

As we told you in today's Daily News, Tashard Choice said the Michael Vick autograph that he got after the game was for his 3-year-old nephew.

Choice immediately went on Twitter to try to quell the negative fan reaction.

He explained further to the Dallas Morning News. Choice said he knew Vick from the time that Vick was in Atlanta with the Falcons and Choice was at Georgia Tech.

"I have nothing but respect for him," Choice said. "I admire somebody who can overcome circumstances and come back and prove people wrong."

Choice continued his apology this morning on Twitter:

"If its anybody that cares about winning and the d cowboys its me. I apologize to the people it was just an innocent gensture for my nephew."

**

The Eagles apparently had a rough flight up, according to some players.

"Just touched down in Philly," Jamar Chaney wrote. "That was a rough flight. Had to start praying it was so much turbulence."

"That the Lord," DeSean Jackson wrote. "Jus made it safe, one of the worst turbulence I every witness!! Woke us all up out our sleep."

Asante Samuel was back at the NovaCare Complex this morning for treatment on his knee.

We will see what Andy Reid has to say about his status and other injuries at noon. Check back on Eagletarian for more updates.

I love Desean, but I thought the fall into the endzone was over the top. That being said....the reason he was able to do it was because that STIFF Mike Jenkins quit on the play. Watch him stop running. That will be his view of #10 in 3 weeks too

I wonder how great he would have felt about his flop if it had cost them something in points coming back at the team?

I wish Desean would grow up a little bit, but I love what does on the field. That being said, I also had to turn off his post-game interview, pretty bad. Alot of kids look up to athlete, I dont know if they are "supposed" to be rolemodels, but for a lot of kids they are. Why paint a number on your back? Desean is too small to make every LB and Saftey gunning for him miss! Please grow up Desean, because I remember in his rookie year, when we played Dallas, his stupid antics momentarily cost the Birds a TD, by throwing ball backwards before the score. Let your ability and athleticism do all your talking. Desean was MIA in both defeats last year and I still have bad taste in my mouth from those losses. Desean, if you want that huge contract and all that guaranteed money, you have to grow up or people are going to hesitate in giving you that long contract. Just keep doing what your doing, play the game right, and let the cheerleaders do the showboating and the "over the top" celebrations. Nothing wrong with being happy and excited after an important score, but be A MAN ABOUT IT! Great game, now time to get ready for Giants. I hope Minny can a do us a solid and beat those Giants. The Eagles could really use a BYE for the playoffs and a game at home. But, having a week off will be huge to get guys healthy after a very tough and physical season. Vick has been battered, might be time to run alittle more unless Andy wants to risk injury to the "franchise" because thats exactly what Vick represents right now!

If it had been against any other team, I would think DeSean's move was classless. But since it was against the Dallas Cowboys and on Jerry Jones field, it was one of the best things I have ever seen happen on a football field, and I enjoy the replay every single time I see it.

I thought the end zone celebration was too much, but then, I thought the Cowboys practically convulsing in the Eagles' backfield every time they made a stop for no gain was too much, too. Why do they get to decide what was appropriate and what wasn't, they lost on their home field.

Hypocrite Eagles fans are ok with Jackson's antics just like they are ok with dog torturing. If Vick and Jackson were Cowboys I wonder how "forgiving" Eagles fans would be.

The plunge is something we'll remember forever, an indulgent lil' cherry atop an excellent sunday. (Excuse the pun.)

Scope33- Your own player is getting autographs from Vick. If you're so upset about fans embracing Vick. You need to start in your own house and stay out of ours.

Remember when Lennox Lewis whipped the tar out of Mike Tyson and then Tyson wiped the sweat from Lewis's brow during the post-fight interview? That's what Choice looked like, toadying up to Micahel Vick. The Eagles have their heart. Next game they win by 20.

Who cares what the stinking cowgirls think ? It is bush to see thier owner on the sidelines acting like a little girl...and then diappearing when they lose....What a front-running meddling has-been owner.....and for the record nobody is more obnoxious than the cowgirls and their talk of playing for the Super Bowl in thier own stadium BEFORE they won anything......Talk about stupid claswsless infantile drivel.....but then that is what the cowgirls are....

I love the Eagles but I can't stand watching this Terrell Ownens want-a -be disrepecting the game. Jackson is only one more concussion away from being a spectator. I remember an early SuperBowl when the Packers clocked a loudmouth jerk on the Raiders and the microphone picked up their laughter when he was carted off the field. Jackson is small and frail and now opponents are out to hurt him.
