Chip: We'll see on Wolff, Goode

The Eagles have health going for them as they prepare Thursday for Sunday's visit with Minnesota. Eagles coach Chip Kelly said rookie safety Earl Wolff was able to do more Wednesday than Tuesday, and that linebacker Najee Goode would practice Thursday.

When Chip Kelly met with reporters Thursday for the final time before Sunday's visit with the Vikings, Kelly said rookie safety Earl Wolff is progressing, and that linebacker Najee Goode would practice today.

Kelly said Wolff, who hasn't played since suffering a knee hyperextension Nov. 10 at Green Bay, was able to do much more in practice Wednesday than when he first returned to the field on Tuesday. Goode, sidelined the past few weeks with a hamstring problem, will see how he feels practicing today, Kelly said. Kelly indicated decisions on both players could come down to Sunday. He acknowledged that Wolff's long layoff might be a factor -- he said he would need t see Wolff do everything in practice, not just "jog around."

Kelly agreed with Minnesota defensive end Jared Allen, that the 3-9-1 Vikings are better than their record. "Just put on the tape," he said, lauding the Vikings' receiving corps and running backs. Of course, Adrian Peterson's status is up in the air because of a foot injury, and backup Toby Gerhart suffered a hamstring injury in last Sunday's loss to Baltimore.

Kelly said Minnesota's approach doesn't change much whether Christian Ponder or Matt Cassel is quarterbacking. Cassel seems the likely starter this week.
