Eagles running back Dion Lewis appeared in court today to face felony charges for allegedly pulling a fire alarm at an Albany, N.Y. hotel. The case was dismissed, said Lewis' attorney, Craig Crist.

Crist said the Albany County district attorney stated in court that there was no evidence a fire alarm was ever pulled. Lewis is expected to report to Lehigh along with the rest of the Eagles' veterans on Wednesday.

Lewis was arrested with his older brother July 8 after the Lewises pounded on the locked glass doors of a hotel lobby in the middle of the night and pulled the fire alarm, according to police.

Lewis, 21, and his brother, 35, were charged with felony counts of falsely reporting a fire and misdemeanor reckless endangerment of property.

White cops trumped up the charges to harass two black guys. Happens all the time in the USA.

If you pull a fire alarm in a Hampton the noise is deafening. Everyone runs out to the parking lot. I've been through it many times when punks pull one. How could there be no evidence? Either the hotel was emptied or it wasn't.

It means no witnesses showed up to testify to what happened, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Draw your own conclusions as to why no witnesses testified. Sort of reminiscent of the Vick birthday shooting and the lack of witnesses.

Many too quick to count Lewis out... this cat is a tough physical runner that eclipsed all Shady's records in college. Though I am rooting for Bryce Brown as Shady's back-up this year, and I love the toughness and perseverance of Chris Polk. " MaanNN I got lots of wants hahahha... I only want the best 53 on the field. Good luck Dion.
