Brady, Belichick build up Eagles

After his team routed the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night, New England coach Bill Belichick wasted little time turning his attention to Sunday's game against the Eagles.

And he made sure to point out how good the Eagles can be, despite their 4-6 record.

"We have a huge game this weekend against a very good opponent. Coach Belichick said last night that this the best team we’ve played all year," Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said on his weekly radio appearance on WEEI in Boston. "That says a lot. I think they’re talented at every position, so we have to go out there and see what we can do against a very good football team.”

Brady was asked whether it is better to watch the games the Eagles played at their best -- such as beating the Giants, who also beat New England -- or their worst, when doing his game preparation. He said, both.

"You watch every game for game-planning purposes, but you expect their best," he said. "This is when the good teams really rise up. As the season goes, the games get bigger and bigger and bigger because there’s more on the line. There’s less margin for error. The better teams you play, there’s less margin for error. When you play on the road, there’s less margin for error. They went on the road and beat the Giants. They beat the Cowboys by like four touchdowns.

"Obviously they’ve had some tough losses this year, most of them have been in the fourth quarter. But they have very good skill players. On defense, in the secondary, they can rush the quarterback. It’s a very good football team, obviously they’re very well coached. We have our work cut out for us. Anytime you go on the road, it makes it that much more challenging. On a short week, against a very talented team, it’s going to be all we can handle."

And now the bad news ...

“I’m fine. I feel great,” he said. “I feel as good as I’ve ever felt going into Thanksgiving time. I feel really good and excited about where we’re at and hopefully we can keep building on these wins."

Well if Tommy Terrific says this is when really good teams rise up, we can expect the Birds to do no such thing.

Would you expect them to come out and say that the Eagles suck? Behind the scenes they were laughing and joking about how bad the coaching staff, and the diva's on this team really is. ;)

Are the Eagles having a very disappointing season, absolutely. But they've been leading in the 4th quarter in 9 out of their 10 games and they manhandled the 2 teams tied for first in the NFC East. They are absolutely a dangerous team for an opponent...if they bring their A game. Unfortunately, for Eagles fans, they only bring their A game half the time. But if you're the Patriots, you can't go in assuming the Eagles will play a bad game. That's when you get upset.

Typical coach speak....Belichick is a true football genius, Brady may be the 3rd best quarterback ever...(Montana,Manning, Elway,Aikman) and we are stuck with a genius wanabe, diva AReid and a qb who still does not know the playbook....which translates to a coach and a QB with more brains than our entire coaching staff, QB, and linebackers and safeties combined......and then we can measure it by experience, winning games and talent and we still can't come close to them.....

He may not be a good quarterback but he KNOWS the plays. The bleeping kid works hard. ok...then thats all for now... lets go find youre medicine ..c'mon..

The Eagles don't seem to have an A game at home.

Wouldn't be surprised if Pats win easily, however if the Eagles play another game with the intensity they brought against the Giants and
somehow prevail this week, the game in Seattle on Thursday will be tough.
The Seahawks knocked off the Ravens recently and can be tough at home.

Let's see if the Eagles can string together some consistent play,
cut down the turnovers & penalties, and win a freakin home game.

Hey Jeff, do yourself a favor and talk to Robert Kraft on Sunday so you can learn from the REAL gold standard of the NFL.

This isn't coach speak. It's a fact. The Eagles have more talent than any team in the league. The Patriots don't say this about every team. They know that if the Eagles play well and have the home field, it will take a tremendous effort for the Patriots to win. If fact, the Eagles are the better team when they play well. However, with all of the new players, coaches, schemes and no offseason, it's not likely that the Eagles will get through the rest of the season playing consistantly at a high level. That's when individual players need to come up big. And they can't afford any penalties or turnovers.

Fat Andy has no clue how to stop Gronkowksi --or even lesser tight ends for that matter ... Pats 83 Eagles 10

I see the defences winning this one, Eagles 3 - 2 Patriots. Henery nails a 63 yarder as time expires.
