Big Chief Andy: KC, Reid Finalizing Deal

Former Eagles coach Andy Reid has canceled trips to interview in other cities and is hashing out the final details of a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, a source involved in the talks told your Eagletarian Thursday.
Chiefs officials met with Reid for more than 8 hours Wednesday and apparently agreed on issues like control and structure.
Today's details apparently include which coaches Reid will bring with him from the Eagles' staff. Scuttlebutt holds that Reid and Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg might not be joined at the hip after all, that Mornhinweg, who traveled to New Orleans this week to watch son Skyler's Florida team play in the Sugar Bowl, might not be Reid's OC in Kansas City.
Also available is another former Eagles offensive coordinator under Reid, Brad Childress, fired this week in Cleveland. It seems Reid might bring both Childress and former Eagles and Browns GM Tom Heckert with him to Kansas City.
The Chiefs went 2-14 this past season and fired coach Romeo Crennel. They hold the No. 1 overall selection in the April draft. The Chiefs are scheduled to visit the Eagles this coming season at Lincoln Financial Field, the date as yet is undetermined.
- Each person is different.
Not everybody needs to take time off when dealing with grief.
Sometimes it is better for the person and the family to be involved in intense pursuits that do not leave time to brood and fall into depression, until further time when it is easier to deal with it! EIK - Lot's of BBQ with gloppy sweet sauces, must be heaven. suporma
I do not see any reason why people have to bash Coach Reid, specially now that he is leaving.
Of course, these are vocal minority, most polls prove that people have collective wisdom that is not possessed by most of the Philly.com commentators! EIK
Vick is packing his bags for KC!! Nnamdi tried to follow him, but got turned around and gave up. cChadc
So the DN has found an enormous Kansas City Chiefs fan contingent in the Philly Metro area - otherwise, why else would this be here??? To put it another way - WHO CARES??? golpher300
Big Red be fine in KC. Guy needed a change of scenary. Cant Climb
Reid is a good coach, obviously. Look at his record. As they say, you are what your record says you are. 130-93 is pretty darn good. fgdavis- And 63-60 since the Superbowl - now THAT is bad!
gdibig - It's an illusion. He beat up on the weak sisters of the NFL but couldn't hang with the big dogs. that's how he padded his record. What a phony. essell
I'll take a Philly cheesesteak over KC BBQ any day of the year. Eaglesman_in_DC
Am I the only one who thinks that he'll do a really good job at turning a terrible organization around? Yeah, he might not win the big one with them, but he's got the #1 pick, probably total control, and he's in a terrible division. I think he'll give Kansas City a reason to watch football again. Vote for Dickie- No, you are not!
It just looks that way here. EIK
Time's yours, KC. Enjoy the banal, arrogant press conferences, pitiful play calling and clock management, retread coaches, and clueless draft choices. ghost of callison
Good luck Andy. Richard Saunders
those poor chiefs fans. they've already suffered for so long. now they have to deal with Andy Reid. I'm sorry for your loss, Chiefs fans. Ryan
