Awful First Quarter

So far, as you might have noticed, Donovan McNabb is colder than the Ohio River, and the Eagles' offense is awful.

  At the end of the first quarter, McNabb was 1 for 5 for 0 yards and a fumble that set the Bengals up on the Eagles' 1. Being the Bengals, they had to settle for a field goal.

   The Eagles' first possession of the second quarter looked much better, highlighted by Correll Buckhalter's 44-yard gain on a screen. Buck might still be running, but he appeared to trip and fall either over the yard marker or one of the huge, napkin-sized chunks of confetti unleashed by upper deck Bengals fans after their team's opening field goal.

   The Birds settled for a 42-yard David Akers field goal. The score is tied, 3-3.
