The Eagles were supposed to pick 85th in the third round, but they have traded that pick to the Giants for the 91st pick and the 164th pick. We're not sure, but we think maybe they have the entire fifth round cornered now.

Whole bunch of tight ends still on the board -- Jared Cook, Cornelius Ingram, Chase Coffman. You'd think that might be the Eagles' direction. Stay tuned.

UPDATED: This is getting ridiculous. The Eagles have traded 91 to Seattle for 137 -- the first pick in the fifth round, in which the Eagles now are scheduled to draft six times -- 213 (a seventh-rounder) and a third-rounder next year.

Jared Cook has now been drafted. As to what the Birds are doing, I have not a clue.

ESPN is saying teams are reaching taking guys that are projected in the 4-6th round in the 3rd. Maybe the Eagles feel that way too.

he helped the cowboys a few years back? dallas took anothony spencer and he sucks. with the dallas picks, the eagles got kolb, stewart bradley and CJ gaddis. despite gaddis being a flop, the eagles easily got the best of that trade. Stop complaining about everything, you don't know what you are talking about.

As soon as all seems to be running according to plan, the Eagles’ “stupid” gene kicks in and we start trading away quality for quantity. Hello! It don’t work… didn’t we learn that over the past 10 years.

I agree, It is ridiculous! They can't deal with success, another 9 - 10 win season and loss in the playoffs if we make them.

If Scheffler is the plan, then it's Ok, but I still would have likies to see one of the receiver TE's drafted.

The Eagles just traded their 2010 1st rounder for the entire 2011 6th round.

It appears the Eagles don't believe many remaining players in the draft could ever make the team. Must not be value left in their eyes. Most likely they are only going to be drafting for guys who play special teams and they must feel these guys will still be available.

A lot of teams see huge value picks in the 5th round...don't be surprised if we trade a couple of them for a veteran (perhaps the TE in Denver). Also remember we got a 3rd round pick next year as part of this....so that could definately be in play (how about next years 3rd and Sheldon Brown for Braylon from Cleveland? -- they drafted 2 WR's yesterday).

They may trade the 5th rounder (147) and the extra 3rd they got from Seattle for Scheffler. As it stands now, their 2010 draft looks like this--1st, 2nd, 2nd (potentially from the Jets for Lito), 3rd, 3rd(fm Seattle), 4th, and 5th--6th rounder gone to Bufflao and 7th to NE.

This is actually really good. One thing Andy is good at is finding good players in the later rounds (Cole, Herremans, etc.). With lots of picks, we are bound to hit on a few.

The Eagles are playing this HORRIBLE draft class perfectly, you people have no clue... Why waste draft picks on people who will never make a team in nfl. Next years draft is better. Pettigrew would be 4th best TE in next years draft, wake up!!! we got a wr who is a burner and a solid rb who can catch.

why has Rashad Jennings from Liberty not been picked? he was the 6th ranked rb on scout he was worked out by the birds and that may be the reason; oh my,oh my;a **** ranking-6'1' 234# 4:5 speed AR must know something and I am safe with that...johnnyu
