Nnamdi to 49ers
FORMER EAGLES cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha has agreed to a 1-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers, his agent confirmed.
According to an ESPN report, the deal could be worth up to $3 million.
A source told ESPN that Asomugha picked the 49ers over the New Orleans Saints.
Asomugha also collects a guaranteed $4 million from the Eagles, who released him earlier in the offseason.

As expected, the Arizona Cardinals acquired quarterback Carson Palmer from the Oakland Raiders.
The Cardinals gave up a conditional seventh-round 2014 draft pick and swapped one of their sixth-round picks this year for Oakland's seventh-round selection.
* The Cleveland Browns released former Eagles linebacker Chris Gocong.
* NFL teams have been told "it is safe'' for Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei "to participate in professional athletics without restrictions,'' ESPN reported, citing a letter written by Dr. Josef Stehlik, of University of Utah Cardiology. Lotulelei did not work out at the scouting combine because of heart concerns.
* Chuck Fairbanks, who coached Heisman Trophy winner Steve Owens at Oklahoma and spent six seasons as coach of the New England Patriots, has died in Scottsdale, Ariz., after battling brain cancer. He was 79.
