    The guy did two years in the joint. That's a lot more than a lot of thugs walking around free. Plus, these were pit bulls, not some sweet-looking 'doggie in the window'. I'm 100% behind the Eagles.

    No Barbara Moss, that makes him a perfect candidate for prison, where he spent 18 months of his life. Also makes him a perfect candidate to lose over $100 million, deservedly. His football skills make him a perfect candidate for a team to take a chance on him for a cheap price, which is what is happening here.

    I will no longer support the Eagles. After such violent behavior, one should not be permitted such an opportunity to reach the pinnacle of this sport. Anyone can afford a publicist to prepare "sincere" statements with this kind of money. I do not believe he has been rehabilitated. I am ashamed of this team and this city for allowing such behavior to be condoned. I hope the bad karma of this decision comes back to bit the Eagles in the tail feathers.

    What a pathetic organization. What a pathetic group of individuals, TO A MAN, lurie, reid, banner, to say that it's OK that animals were tortured. What does that say? That says that if you are involved in dogfights right now, it's ok! fuggetaboutit! we'll give you a 2nd chance! maybe they should start drafting the people that run these dogfights. can't be any worse than Fredex.

    6and10, yes that is exactly what all those people said. Bad people .... we aren't the people saying "oh well give him a 2nd chance" .... that is what the law said ... that is what the judiciary system said. Who are the bigger morons? The people who let their judicial system guide them? or the people who are unforgiving and pay no attention to what the judicial system has to say and go about their lives full of hate?

    Michael Vick and the EAGLES. I am a "Franchise Fan." Meaning I care about the team and their wins. For me, one (1) player is not "bigger" than the "Franchise". The "Franchise" has been, and always will be, representative of Philadelphia Football regardless of who plays for the team. The club, founded in 1933, two years after the Frankford Yellowjacket's ceased to operate, has seen players come and go. Yes, players are essential to the success of the team, but in my humble opinion, they don't make a "Franchise". This shouldn't be about Michael Vick. His actions on the team will do one of two things, help the "Franchise" reach it's goal or not. It should be about a journey. A journey of a "Franchise", founded in 1933, who takes with it the passion of its fans, the spirit of a city-who gave the U.S. the American Flag, the Marines, and the Declaration of Independence-the memory of one of the best defensive minds in the game, Jim Johnson (may he rest in peace) and his quest have his defense ready to win, (regardless of who signed with the team) the number one award for professional football, the Superbowl.

    Dante Stallworth killed a man and is already out of custody - He did no time other than house arrest but he'll come back next season and there won't be this kind of backlash. People love their pets, they are members of the family - I love mine so much (both are shelter rescues) that I've paid over $6000 and counting rehabing my 10 yr old who was hit by a car in July. Vick spent 2 years in a Federal Prison - Not one of those country clubs either - He was in Levenworth! Dante Stallworth killed a man and stayed at home in his Miami Beach mansion doing his time. Vick served his time but I will only support the man if I see real help for animals that need it from him going forward.

It took Les only a few seasons after the switch to figure out that there was no penalty box at the Linc, and that the time really wasn't his, despite what Andy Reid kept saying. Les came to Philadelphia and the Daily News from Charlotte in 1983. In the intervening years, he has pretty much lost track of NASCAR, and his accent. Paul DomowitchPaul Domowitch has been with the Daily News since 1982. He has spent most of his nearly 3 decades with the paper covering the Eagles and pro football. For the last 10 years, he’s been a selector for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. A native of Wilkes-Barre and a graduate of Wilkes University, Domo started his career in Texas, working first for the Midland Reporter-Telegram (1976-78), and then for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, where he covered some god-awful Texas Ranger baseball teams. His first beat at the Daily News actually was boxing, which he covered just long enough to lose 2 sports coats to blood spatter before moving on to football. Domo and his wife Shelley, a University of Oklahoma grad who still hasn’t gotten over that Fiesta Bowl loss to Boise State 5 years ago, have 2 terrific daughters -- Allison, 28, who is an attorney in South Jersey, and Amy, 25, who works in administration for a professional baseball team.
