Police are looking for Christopher Easter, 20, of North Philadelphia in connection with an armed robbery and shooting that left a 29-year-old man hospitalized in critical condition early Tuesday morning.
The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $2,500 cash reward for tips leading to Easter's arrest.
Cops say Easter allegedly followed the victim as he walked home from a nearby bar around 2:45 a.m.
The man demanded cash from the victim and shot him once in the right side of his neck on Bodine Street near Fairmount Avenue.
The suspect ran away without taking any of the man’s money, police said. He was last seen running on American Street toward Poplar.
A tipster contacted police after recognizing Easter from surveillance footage that recorded him walking through the neighborhood around the time of the shooting.
Police said Easter lives on Poplar Street near 15th in the Francisville section of North Philadelphia. U.S. Marshals described him as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
He has “North Philly” tattooed across his neck, and is considered armed and dangerous.
Tipsters are asked to call 215-686-TIPS (8477), contact U.S. Marshals at 1-866-865-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip form online.
Police say anyone who sees the man should call 911 immediately.
