Woman's body found in car near 30th Street Station

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman whose body was found Thursday morning in car parked near 30th Street Station in University City.

Officers were called to the scene just before 10:30 a.m., according to preliminary information from police. There, they found the body of a 22-year-old woman in the front seat of a black Nissan Altima. She was pronounced dead there at 12:15 p.m., police said.

So far, investigators have not determined the woman's cause of death. A police spokeswoman said as of 1:30 p.m., the woman's identity had not yet been confirmed.
