Police are searching for two men and a woman who are wanted in connection with a series of robberies in North Philadelphia between Aug. 23 and Sept. 10.
Authorities are unsure of whether the suspects are working together, or if the strong arm robberies are connected.
Many of the incidents happened near the intersection of 18th and Diamond streets, and some of the victims were assaulted before their belongings were stolen, police said. Surveillance footage recorded the suspects in two incidents, and police released footage to the public Wednesday.
Around 5 p.m. on Aug. 30, a 21-year-old woman was walking along Diamond Street near 18th when a man grabbed her wallet, which contained her identification and credit cards, police said. About an hour later, the suspect and a woman were recorded using the victim’s credit card at convenience store — which is also on Diamond Street near 18th, police said.
Around 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 2, a man was standing on Diamond Street near 17th when he was approached from behind and was pushed into a doorway. A surveillance camera recorded a man reaching into the victim’s pocket to steal his iPhone before he fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a bearded black man in his late teens to early 20s. He was wearing a green shirt and blue jeans, police said.
