Police on Friday released surveillance video of a gunpoint carjacking at a gas station near Center City, and they're seeking any tips to help them catch the carjacker who remains at large.
On Jan. 19, two men were parked in a pickup truck at a gas station on Spring Garden Street near 11th at 8:43 p.m. when two men approached the truck and forced them out of it at gunpoint, according to police. One of the victims was also armed, police said, and shot one of the carjackers in the leg. The wounded man fled, but was apprehended a few blocks away.
The second carjacker, police said, managed to steal a dirt bike from the bed of the pickup truck and fled the scene on it. Police are still looking for him. He's described as black, 21 to 24 years old and wore a blue jacket and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

More evidence that we need cameras all over the city in order to capture criminals and protect the life, liberty and property of Philadelphians. StevenG

If only the guys in the truck had guns...wait, dirtbikes, pick up truck, why didn't they? MichaelZoe
I like when his buddy got shot that only got him more focused on stealing a cheap dirt bike. This guy has no value for his own or anyone elses life. Earl J

Disturbing thing about this is, the thug's partner got shot, and he's still there nonchalantly loosening the bike! If this guy was willing to take a bullet for a bike... RAP_SUX
