That's only a few blocks from the 11th precinct. How long did it take the cops to get to the place that there were no arrests? DonQ
DonQ, Like JohnWayne said, Who cares let them kill each other! sourpus- Give me a call when a stray bullet from one of those "who cares" shootings hits one of your kids. DonQ
All of u should care if u live in Pa. Our tax dollars paying for the hospital bills, more cop overtime etc. Fonztrenton
And all we are seeing today is cuts cuts cuts. I would strongly advise the "who cares" folks to have a night on the town in your lonely neighborhood this summer because if u come to have a ball in our city u may not leave in the same condition u came in. Fonztrenton
I try not to make judgements before having all the facts. Too often, the bullets these knuckleheads fire strike innocent people, including children some of whom even have their own insurance. It's the "12th" Police District not the 11th, that is 2 blocks from where the shooting took place. I'm told police officers from the 12th arrived on the scene as quickly as possible. Seems they had no prior knowledge that the shooting would take place and were not sitting at the 12th Police District waiting for the call. sugie

Homies, hoodies and handguns resulting in 400 murders and 10000 shootings and violent crimes a year in Philadelphia. farley
Who cares? I care. If you don't care, don't comment, don't read the article(s), and certainly don't live anywhere near inner city environments. I am active in these communities, and I've seen change among some of the youth I mentor. Will they all be saved? Absolutely not. But instead of "letting them kill themselves" I'd at least like to say I helped save a few kids that NEVER wanted to live in a war zone, that DO go to school, that TRY to tell their parents lay off the pipe, and that raise their other siblings while still a child themselves. Everyone in the "hood" is not a gun-toting thug. I know thats all most of you see, but that is because you are cowards who just read what's in the paper and on TV. Sad that you, the "intelligent, cultured" members of society are so easily swayed that you cannot form your own opinions/beliefs. Shame on you all. jevans- jevans,I hear ya, agree with your sentiment but being poor doesn't make you a criminal, a murderer or cause you to live in dirty neighborhoods... Broken homes / schools are a major factor! The family unit is broken and definitely under attack by many of our elected officials..., why??? It boils down to personal responsibility and morals, two things that are not stressed in our modern society..., why??? Those two areas would not increase a public school budget one extra cent if they are stressed... why aren't they??? Excuses and finger pointing have never solved a problem, so again I hear what you're saying.
