Two men shot, critically wounded in W. Philly

Police are investigating a shooting in Southwest Philadelphia that left two men critically wounded Wednesday night.

Police are investigating a shooting in Southwest Philadelphia that left two men critically wounded Wednesday night.

About  11:50 p.m. a 23-year-old man was shot once in his head and a 22-year-old man suffered wounds to each of his hands and a thigh on 60th Street near Upland.

They were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and were listed in critical condition early Thursday morning.

Lt. John Walker of the Southwest Detective Division said shortly after the shooting that a witness was being interviewed by police.

Walker said that police had yet to speak with the victims, and a description of the shooter  was not immediately available.

No weapon was found and no arrests were made.
