Two men hospitalized after W. Philly shooting

Police are investigating a shooting in West Philadelphia that left two men hospitalized in critical condition Monday night.

Police are investigating a shooting in West Philadelphia that left two men critically wounded Monday night.

A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the shooting shortly afterward, police said.

The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. on Callowhill Street near 62nd.

Medics took two men, both in their 20s, to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

A 25-year-old man was shot in his left arm and his back. A 22-year-old man was shot once in his chest and four times in his left leg.

Officers in the 19th District arrested the suspect on Edgewood Street near Callowhill after he was positively identified by witnesses.

Police said the man, whom has not yet been identified, was carrying a handgun when he was arrested.
