Philadelphia police and the Department of Human Services are investigating a West Philadelphia family after two twin boys, age 1-and-a-half, suffered second and third degree burns at home today. Investigators said the boys suffered the burns on their lower body while they were being bathed by their mother’s boyfriend inside her home at 58th and Master streets at about 2 p.m. The boys were listed in serious but stable condition at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Investigators are trying to determine how the boys were burned, but no charges have been filed.
