Transgendered woman's death ruled a homicide

Transgender woman was a homicide victim, authorities ruled.

The Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office has determined that the transgender woman found dead in her Point Breeze home Monday night was strangled, making her death a homicide, police spokeswoman Christine O'Brien confirmed this morning. The motive remains unknown, and police have reported no suspects.

Neighbors mourned Stacey - identified by police as Michael Lee, 31 - as a beautiful person. DN scribe Stephanie Farr visited her neighborhood yesterday to get the story.
