Three women stabbed in Strawberry Mansion

A enraged man stabbed his ex-girlfriend and her two sisters in Strawberry Mansion Tuesday night.

Police said the triple stabbing occurred shortly after 7 p.m. on the second floor of a property at 30th and Diamond streets.  The women, ages 24, 26 and 31, suffered wounds to their hands and forearms, and were admitted to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

Police said the attacker, identified early Wednesday morning as Maurice Young, 36, was stabbed in the head during the melee and later arrested.  He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in stable condition.
