Three injured in two separate shootings Tuesday night

Three men were injured in shootings Tuesday night, including two in one incident in the city’s Tioga section.

A 22-year-old man was shot in the right arm and a 45-year-old man shot in the left leg in that incident on North Bailey Street near Allegheny Avenue just before 7 p.m. Both were taken to Temple University Hospital and listed in stable condition last night. No arrests have been made.

In the second incident, a 19-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his left leg shortly after 7 p.m. on Stevens Street near Large in Oxford Circle, and police said they apprehended a suspect near the scene minutes later.

The victim was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center and listed in stable condition.

The suspect, whom police identified as the shooter, was arrested at Large Street and Roosevelt Boulevard. His identity was not yet available.
