Five arrested for triple shooting in Port Richmond

Two North Philadelphia men were arrested in connection with a triple shooting Wednesday afternoon in Port Richmond, and A 24-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly hiding the guns in her purse after the shooting, police said.

Four men were arrested in connection with a triple shooting Wednesday afternoon in Port Richmond, and a 24-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly hiding the guns in her purse after the shooting, police said.

Lydell Johnson, 23 of Norris Street near 23rd, is facing nine criminal charges including attempted murder, reckless endangerment and assault charges, according to court documents.

Aaron Devine, 17, of Reno Place near Percy Street also faces nine charges, including aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and weapons violations. Police said he is being charged as an adult.

Phillip Gillard, 34, faces charges of aggravated assault, weapons violations and additional offenses, according to court documents.

Police in the East Detective Division said a 19-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the shooting. However, there were no court documents available outlining his charges Friday afternoon.

Around 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, an ongoing dispute on Weikel Street near Ann in Port Richmond escalated to gunfire, which a Daily News reporter witnessed while conducting interviews for an unrelated article.

A 28-year-old woman was shot in her head and taken to Temple University Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition and later upgraded to stable condition.

Two men, ages 19 and 48, were both wounded in their legs. Police said the three people who were wounded appeared to be bystanders.

Johnson is being held on $250,000 bail. Devine is being held in a juvenile detention center on $100,000 bail. Jones and White are being held on $50,000 bail, according to court documents.

All five are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.
