Police are investigating a stabbing in Northeast Philadelphia's Parkwood section that left a 17-year-old boy in critical condition Tuesday night.
The teen, who investigators said is the son of a Philadelphia police officer, was stabbed in the neck, stomach and chest in woods on Medford Road near Vinton shortly after 9 p.m.
His friends rushed him to Aria Health's Torresdale hospital, where he was listed in critical condition but expected to survive.
Police said they do not believe the teen knows the person who stabbed him, and a description of the attacker was not immediately available.
