Suspects sought in early morning convenience store robbery

At about 2 a.m. Thursday morning, two men walked into a 7-Eleven on Ogontz Avenue near, 78th in Cedarbrook and robbed it at gunpoint.

At about 2 a.m. Thursday morning, two men walked into a 7-Eleven on Ogontz Avenue near, 78th in Cedarbrook and robbed it at gunpoint.

One of the men, who was wearing a white painter's mask, pulled his black hooded sweatshirt up and exposed the black grip of a handgun tucked in his sweat pants, police said.

The second suspect covered his face with his forearm, and walked to the counter.

The clerk took $100 from the cash register and put it on the counter.

After the suspects took the money from the counter, they left the store and fled south on foot.

The store's surveillance cameras caught footage of the robbery, which police have posted online.

Both suspects are black men who are about 5-feet-8 inches tall, police said.

One had on a black hooded sweatshirt and burgundy sweatpants.

The other was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and gray sweat pants.
