Police late last week made an arrest in the slaying of a man in North Philadelphia’s Swampoodle section in December.
Emanuel Jackson, 24, was fatally shot once in the head and a few times in the torso at 23rd Street and Indiana Avenue around 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 20, police said. On Thursday, Barron Miller, 26, was arrested in the North Philadelphia district where the murder occurred.
Miller is charged with murder, illegal firearm possession, reckless endangerment and related offenses in Jackson’s murder.
He was arraigned Friday morning and is being held at Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility, per court records. He’s set to appear in court again May 30 for a preliminary hearing.
