Police have identified a man caught on videotape brutally attacking a blind man in Germantown.

Mustafa Guyton, 29, who lives on Logan Street near Pulaski Avenue, about two blocks from where the attack happened, is being sought in the Oct. 2 assault at the corner of Wayne Avenue and Seymour Street. Police said they identified Guyton through investigation.

Guyton is a career criminal who has spent time behind bars for aggravated assault, robbery, DUI, drug and weapons offenses.

Police have not reported a motive in the attack.
