Shooting suspect caught on camera

Police are searching for a man in connection with a shooting on Feb. 25 on Dickinson Street near 24th in South Philadelphia.

The detective investigating the shooting said the suspect was walking behind another man after he left a store. The man told police he heard a suspicious sound behind him and when he turned briefly to look, the suspect began firing shots.

A surveillance camera caught the suspect fleeing the scene on foot, and police have posted the footage on their website.

The suspect is described as a tall, thin black male, about 25 years old and about six feet tall, wearing a dark green hooded sweater at the time.

Anyone with information on the suspect is encouraged to call the South Detective Unit at 215-686-3013.

Police consider the man dangerous, and said anyone who sees him should call 911 immediately.
