SEPTA bus hits woman in River Park

A female pedestrian was hit by the Route 40 bus in the River Park section of the city earlier tonight.

A female pedestrian was hit by the Route 40 bus in the River Park section of the city earlier tonight.

SEPTA spokesman Richard Maloney said the accident occurred about 7 p.m. at Conshohocken Avenue and Cranston Road.  The circumstances of the accident weren't yet known, he said.

Police said the woman, whose name and age were not released, was admitted to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in stable condition, though the extent of her injuries were unclear.
