S. Philly stabbing leaves 2 hospitalized, woman arrested

A 26-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday night for stabbing two others during a fight inside a home on Hemberger Street near Snyder Avenue in South Philly, police said.

The fight broke out around 7 p.m. in a kitchen on the first floor of the house, police said.

Cops were unsure what the women were arguing over as of 9 p.m.

A 25-year-old woman was stabbed once in her right forearm and twice in her left arm, and a 22-year-old woman was stabbed once in her right thigh, said Officer Jillian Russell, a police department spokeswoman. 

Medics took the women to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where they were both listed in critical condition as of 9 p.m.

Police found the woman’s weapon on the scene, and did not release her identity Wednesday night.
