Repeat offender nabbed in cold-case murder

Philadelphia police have made an arrest in the 2010 armed robbery and murder of a South Philadelphia man.

Dennis Fulton, 36, was charged with murder and related offenses for the June 19, 2010, shooting death of Rudolph Wilkerson, 61, of Sixth Street near Tasker, said Officer Christine O'Brien, a police spokeswoman. Police found Wilkerson bleeding from wounds to his head and body in the street at 12:30 a.m. in an industrial area on Wolf Street near Swanson. Paramedics declared him dead on the scene at 12:51 a.m.

Both men were repeat offenders, according to court records. Fulton had prior arrests for rape, narcotics, disorderly conduct, robbery and burglary, including a 2010 case in which he stole cash and a truck from the Pennsylvania SCPA, according to court records and news accounts. with prior drug and violence-related arrests, according to court records. Wilkerson had prior arrests for aggravated assault, theft and drug offenses, according to court records.
