Police probe gun slaying in West Oak Lane

Police are seeking suspects in the overnight gun slaying of a man in West Oak Lane.

The victim, whose identity remains unknown, was shot several times just after 12:30 a.m. in a 1995 Mercury Sable on 15th Street near Haines, police said. Paramedics declared him dead on the scene at 12:55 a.m.

The slaying was the 202nd of 2013, much lower than the 277 murders police recorded at the same time last year.

Police reported no motive or suspects. Tipsters are asked to call homicide detectives at (215) 686-3334 or -3335.
