Police are seeking suspects in two unrelated overnight murders.

In the first case, someone gunned down a man in his car just before midnight on Seybert Street near 16th in North Philadelphia, said Officer Jillian Russell, a police spokeswoman. The victim, shot multiple times, reversed his car and hit an abandoned building, sending it toppling onto his car and trapping him inside. Paramedics declared him dead on the scene at 12:06 a.m., Russell said.

Twenty minutes later, someone shot a 34-year-old man shot once in head and multiple times throughout his body on Penn Street near Church in Frankford, Russell said. He died at Temple University Hospital at 2:35 a.m.

Police reported no suspects or motive in either case. Tipsters, call homicide detectives at (215) 686-3334 or -3335.
