About 10 minutes later, a witness positively identified the shooter, a 44 -year- old man, on Island Avenue near Lindbergh Boulevard, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.  The man was carrying a semi-automatic handgun at the time. Cops said the shooting may have stemmed from an argument over money. Police found a wallet and five shell casings on the scene. Police said the victim was carrying a semi-automatic handgun in his right pocket.

A parked car was also struck by stray bullets and its occupants were not injured police said. However, they were also taken to the Homicide Unit for interviews, police said.
