Police are investigating the death of an 82-year-old man who was found lying on the ground in his garage Monday afternoon.

An insurance agent who went to the man’s house on City Avenue near Greenhill Lane found his body partially under his vehicle inside his garage around 12:30 p.m., police said. The garage door was open.

The door to the man’s house was also open, and his house appeared to be ransacked, investigators said. There were no obvious signs of trauma on his body, according to police, and his death remains under investigation.
