Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old boy at a South Philadelphia rec center.

Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old boy at a South Philadelphia rec center.

Police said the alleged incident happened Oct. 4 at Wharton Recreation Center, located at 23rd and Wharton streets, but was just reported today.

17th District police responded to the rec center Thursday to hold the scene. The investigation is now being handled by the Special Victims Unit.

No further information has been released about the alleged incident.
