A 22-year-old man fatally shot in Feltonville Wednesday night was identified Thursday as Jonathan Perez.

Perez, who lived on Courtland Street near 4th, was about two blocks from home, at the corner of 4th and Cayuga streets, at 9:30 p.m. when someone fired 10 shots at him at point-blank range, police said. He was wounded several times in the torso and died a short time later at Temple University Hospital, Chief Inspector Scott Small said.

A police spokeswoman said she didn't have information on a motive or suspect in Perez's shooting Thursday afternoon.

Less than 24 hours before Perez was killed, 19-year-old Craig Thomas was shot to death on the block where Perez lived. Police sources Wednesday night said they believe the two homicides are connected. Thomas' killing, a source said, came after an argument.

Police on Thursday were also investigating the death of a 36-year-old man found shot to death inside a house on Cleveland Street near Dauphin in North Philadelphia. That victim was not identified as of Thursday afternoon, but a police spokeswoman said he died of a gunshot wound to the head at Temple Hospital shortly after 1:30 a.m.
