Police arrest son in mom's shooting death

Police identified the Logan woman shot to death Sunday morning as Patrice McIntosh, 50.

Officers arrested her son Keenan McIntosh, 22, who lived with his mother on Old York Road near Courtland Street, and charged him with murder, resisting arrest and weapons offenses, said Officer Jillian Russell, a police spokeswoman. McIntosh allegedly shot his mother once in the head.

Russell had no further details about the crime; the motive, which was listed as "domestic"; or the murder weapon.

Court records show that McIntosh was arrested in December 2011 for attempted murder, terroristic threats, gun offenses and related charges, but the charges dismissed or dropped.
