Police are looking for a man who allegedly raped a woman in Pennypack Park after offering her a ride home early yesterday.

The man was described as white, between 30 and 40 years old, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10, with a medium build, reddish-brown hair and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, and was driving a white pickup truck with ladders in the rear when he approached the victim.

Police said he approached the victim, who is in her 20s, while she was walking along Torresdale Avenue near Longshore around 2:30 a.m. He engaged her in conversation, possibly saying that his name was "Rob," and offered her a ride home, which she accepted, according to police from the Special Victims Unit's Special Investigations Unit. He then drove her to Cresco Avenue between Rhawn Street and Welsh Road in Pennypack Park, where he dragged her by the arm from the truck, sexually assaulted her and robbed her of $20, police said.

No one witnessed the attack, and the woman did not know the man, police said.
