Police: Remains found near hospital
Police are investigating bones found outside Nazareth Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia.
Officers from the 15th District responding to a report found four small bones near a wooded area on Holme Avenue near Roosevelt Boulevard about 5:30 p.m., Chief Inspector Scott Small said.
The bones were sent to the Medical Examiner's Office for study, Small said.
Later, a detective from Northeast Division said the bones are likely from an animal. No official ruling has been made.
The investigation is ongoing.
