Two men were talking outside a Chinese takeout in North Philadelphia Monday night when one of them pulled out a gun and shot the other twice, police said.

Cops said the victim, a 28-year-old man, can be seen in surveillance video of the incident standing in front of the store at 12th and Huntingdon streets around 6:30 p.m. talking to another man who then pulls out a gun and shoots him twice in the stomach and back.

The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition, police said. The shooter, described as a stocky black man in his 20s who wore dark-colored long pants, was last seen walking north on 12th Street from the scene. Police said he's armed with a 9mm handgun.

Cops were unsure what led to the shooting later Wednesday night, but said the victim has a prior arrest record.
