Police: Man shot dead in Crescentville

A shooting in Crescentville has left a man dead tonight, police said.

The victim, a 30-year-old male, was found inside a vehicle on Weymouth Street near Cheltenham Avenue about 6:18 p.m., according to police spokeswoman Officer Jillian Russell.

He had been shot several times in the head, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no information on a suspect or motive available.

The slaying took place less than a mile from the home where Donna Walter Muller and her son, Richard, were found shot to death Jan 19.
