A 33-year-old man was shot to death in East Falls Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Shortly after 1 p.m., cops were called to Authority Terrace near Berkeley Drive, in the Philadelphia Housing Authority’s Abbotsford Homes development, and found the man lying on the ground outside bleeding from a single gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:27 p.m., police said.

Investigators were still working to sort out what motivated the shooting and the circumstances surrounding it later Wednesday, and no arrests had been made.

Abbotsford, vigilantist justice. Sometimes and certain places in Philly you have to administer your own justice. When there is an immediate need for a police officer they're minutes away.

Reading the headline I was was stunned to see a murder in East Falls? EF is a calm, quiet, peaceful community. Then I saw that it was at Abbotsford Homes. Very misleading headline. That's North Philly. Please don't sully East Falls' good name.

Like it or not Abbottsford is in East Falls, check the zip code 19129. Check their neighborhood schools, Mifflin and Roxborough High. You may want to lump Abbottsford in with North Philly but it is in East Falls.
