Police ID Swampoodle murder victim

Police have identified a man gunned down Friday on his Swampoodle block as James Howard, 45.

Howard was found shot once in the chest outside his home on Toronto Street near 21st about 9:25 p.m., police said. He died later at Temple University Hospital at 11:03 p.m.. Police reported no motive or suspects. Tipsters, call homicide detectives at (215) 686-3334 or -3335.
