Police: Brazen bandit robs Police and Fire Credit Union in Overbrook Park

Police are searching for a brazen bank robber who they say took off with thousands of dollars in cash from an Overbrook Park Police and Fire Credit Union Monday afternoon.

Police are searching for a brazen bank robber who they say took off with thousands of dollars in cash from an Overbrook Park Police and Fire Credit Union Monday afternoon.

The robber walked into the credit union on City Avenue near 76th Street shortly after 1 p.m. and produced a threatening demand note, according to police. Initial reports estimated that he got away with more than $10,000 in cash before fleeing on foot north on City Avenue.

The robber is described as black with a medium build, 6 feet 2 and with acne on his face. He wore a black knit hat, black sweater and blue jeans.
