Police were investigating a double shooting in West Philadelphia early Friday night.

Police were investigating a double shooting in West Philadelphia early Friday night.

Two men, ages 20 and 24, were at 52nd Street and Haverford Avenue minutes after 6 p.m. when someone opened fire on them, police said. The younger man was shot once in the chest. He was taken to Mercy Philadelphia Hospital in a private car and listed in critical condition.

The older man was shot once in the right leg. He was also taken to Mercy in a private car, but was listed in stable condition.

Police have not released any information on a motive or suspects in the shooting.
