Philly cop arrested at Texans game
A Philadelphia police officer was arrested at the Houston Texans' stadium Sunday for resisting arrest, according to the Houston Police Department and the Harris County District Attorney's Office.
Houston police were called to the Crown Royal Saloon at Reliant Stadium in Houston around 2:40 p.m. Sunday during the Texans-Colts game for a report of a disturbance. Details surrounding the nature of the disturbance were sketchy, but Houston police spokesman Kese Smith said Neil Kohler, 46, was arrested for resisting arrest. Kohler is accused of pushing the arresting officer and was the only person charged in relation to the incident, Smith said.
Kohler later identified himself as a Philadelphia cop to Houston authorities, according to Smith.
Kohler was released on $1,000 bail and has a court date scheduled back in Houston on Dec. 26, according to the Harris County District Attorney's Office.
Lt. John Stanford, spokesman for the Philadelphia Police Department, said the department did receive a call about Kohler and Internal Affairs is investigating the case.
Stanford said he had no information on the Houston incident or Kohler, including how long he has worked for the department and where he is assigned.

typical philly cop Apollo Creed- Yup. Here, they are used to always getting their way and pushing people around - They feel entitled. So when they get out of the zone they just can't handle being treated like an average Joe. DarnelX
- You can dress them up, but you can't take them anywhere. TopCat#1
Details are sketchy... then why put this in the paper at all? I guess it might not 'titillate' as much when all the facts come out. elbrewador

Arrested for resisting arrest?
What was the original offense?
Liberty_1776- Always a fascinating question- what caused the need for an "arrest" in the first place? Notice how many times the sole charge that is placed against an individual is for "resisting arrest" without any underlying offense that would have justified the need for the "arrest" to occur.
I am sure that the FOP's McNebsy (McNasty) will say that the Houston cops are wrong and that the officer should be promoted! SPENDSPEND
With any luck he'll be found guilty and sentenced to live in Texas. CiceroSpuriousDeodatusTheSecond
